THE SERIES
Eleven films. One political crisis.
The core series follows five lives in release order. The next slate goes back to Marius and Sulla, across Antony, into the machine of the Principate, then Tiberius and Cato. Together they are one political story: how a competitive aristocracy running a world empire on city-state software produced strongmen, civil war, and a monarchy that refused the name.
Episodes are still in production. Each page collects the argument of the film, the chapter spine, maps, and a reading list.
